[00:00:00] Welcome to another episode of financial Snickens. I'm your host, Alisa McCabe. And today we're going to be talking about gifts for clients, letting them know that you care about them and what are the right things to get and when to send them. So building strong relationships for clients is a cornerstone of any successful business. One, it's one way to show appreciation and nurture those relationships with thoughtful and timely gifts. And whether you're celebrating a milestone or gratitude or simply keeping the lines of communication open, some of these gifts will leave a lasting impression. One thing that we do when we get a new client, we send out a welcome gift. It's a package that includes a mug with our logo on it, a notepad, a pen. Um, and if we have something at the time that we have as a special promotional, we might do. [00:01:00] Um, uh, notebooks that we had at one time or t shirts or something, but we send out like this welcome package to let them know that we appreciate them. And, you know, here's some gifts for you to keep. Another thing that you can do for your clients as a gift is to send out when they meet a milestone. Um, we love to celebrate our clients when our clients hit a particular milestone that we know that they've been going for. Hit a million dollars, hired the 10th person, hit 10 million dollars, whatever their goal was, we love to send them something to let them know that we're right there with them celebrating. So it can be anything that you can think of. Um, it can be a plaque. It could be like a crystal award. It could be a, you know, custom artwork. It could be something, but always make sure it includes their logo because there's nothing like looking at your own company's logo. On something that's given to you. So [00:02:00] it's pretty cool because it shows that you're invested in their success too. Another gift that you can do for clients is a thank you is a thank you gift. So a few years ago, we sent out to our top 10 clients, uh, a plant, a potted plant, and we got such a great response from our clients. It was so great that. They appreciated it and they, and they really loved it. They would, they put it on their windowsills and they would take pictures of them. It can be something as simple as a thank you note, or it can be something, um, uh, you know, a box of chocolates, anything that portrays to them that you are thankful for them and that you are grateful that they're your client. Another gift you can do is like a seasonal one, like a holiday gift. And you can think outside the box. You can do a 4th of July gift. You could do [00:03:00] something, it doesn't have to be in the December, November, December time frame. And actually, I think when you do send gifts at that time, I think they kind of get lost in the mix because a lot of people do them then. We tend to send out our holiday card in January. And we call it a New Year's card and we also send out usually a gift, some kind of branded company swag that we send out and we find that because it gets sent out and it's not at the same time when they're getting gifts from other people, our clients notice it and appreciate it. Also, when you're sending gifts, think about your clients and what they like. Another gift you could send was something to do with wellness and relaxation. You could send them a prescription or a subscription for a meditation app, and that would. Allow them [00:04:00] to maybe practice that meditation that they've actually talked to you about. Um, you could send them a personalized yoga mat or maybe even a day at a spa near them. So something about them and this also create is really a personal gift because it means that you've listened to them and you've heard them talk about something that they liked to do. And you. Are giving them the means to do it now. Most business owners love tech, anything techie, anything. So if you can think of something to send them, it can be noise cancelling headphones, um, a sleek branded power bank that they can use to connect to any of their electrics, electronics, because everything's going to work. If anybody's like me, my electronics are constantly running out of battery. I don't know if it's because I use them so much. I'm on my phone, on my laptop all the time. So I love [00:05:00] power banks and you can get wireless chargers. There's all kinds of really great tech. gadgets that you can give to your clients and they will appreciate it because they're business owners too and they love this kind of stuff. Um, so whatever your gifts are that you're sending, it really sends a powerful message to your clients that you Are invested in their relationship and tailoring those gifts, either to special occasions or your business owner, your clients, personal preferences. It really shows that you have a commitment to your client and that you like them and that you're listening to them. And who doesn't love that? And remember, it's not about the monetary value of the gift, but it's really about the sentiment and the effort you've put behind it. And these gestures leave a lasting impression on your clients [00:06:00] and they can set the stage for continued collaboration and success with your clients.
